The Relationship Between Online Learning and the Incidence of Refractive Disorders in School Children at the Prikasih Hospital Eye Polyclinic

Introduction: The purpose of this study is to determine “The Relationship between Online Learning and The Incidence of Refractive Errors in School Children at the Eye Polyclinic in Prikasih Hospital. The type of research is quantitative. The population of this research is children who study using learning online methods. The sampling was selected using purposive a sampling technique and the total sample of this study was 43.
Methods: The primary data collection method used were a questionnaire method and Snellen charts to measure visual acuity. The univariate analysis aims to describe the characteristics of each variable and the bivariate analysis is carried out with the chi-square test aims to determine whether or not there is a relationship between variables.
Results: The results showed that from 22 respondents (51,1%) whose intense study used an online learning method, 1 respondent (4,5%) did not have refractive errors and 21 respondents (95,5%) had refractive errors. The result of the chi-square test is that the value of p = 0,00 means p-value (0,05).
Discussion: This study concludes that there is a relationship between online learning and the incidence of refractive errors in children’s schools at the Eye Polyclinic in Prikasih Hospital.
