Introduction: Leadership style is one of the factors that affect the performance and satisfaction of nurses. Which in the end will result in better health service output, patient satisfaction, and the achievement of institutional goals. Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the leadership style of the head of the room and the job satisfaction of nurses at Leuwiliang Hospital in 2021.
Methods: The method used in this study was the concept of quantitative research using the cross-sectional method, carried out on a sample of 138 nurses at Leuwiliang Hospital. Statistical test using chi-square.
Results: The results showed that the leadership style of the head of the ward at Leuwiliang Hospital, the majority of nurses stated that it was democratic as much as 84%. The results of statistical tests showed that there is a relationship between the leadership style of the head of the room and the job satisfaction of implementing nurses at Leuwiliang Hospital in 2021 (p-value = 0,003 < 0,05).
Discussion: The conclusion that can be drawn from the study is that there is a relationship between the leadership style of the head of the room on job satisfaction at the Leuwiliang Regional General Hospital, Bogor Regency in 2021. It is recommended that the head of the room can improve the ability to manage the implementing nurses by encouraging the implementing nurses to provide better nursing service.
