Abstract

Introduction: In the outpatient registration service at Tarakan Regional General Hospital Jakarta, there are still problems, namely errors in entering patient data and patients using BPJS inactive.

Methods: The purpose of this study was to find out the description of the administration of outpatient registration services at the Tarakan Regional General Hospital Jakarta in 2021 this type of research is to use a qualitative research method with a descriptive design which was carried out in October 2021 at the registration service section at the Tarakan Regional General Hospital Jakarta in 2021.

Results: Based on the results of research from interviews, observations, and document review, it was found that the implementation of outpatient registration services still had deficiencies in the input, process, and output components, namely education that was still not in accordance with qualifications, lack of human resources in the department registration services, and registration service officers who are less thorough in entering patient data, as well as computers that often have errors. The output of this study is the outpatient flow when problems occur in the registration service section.

Discussion: It is recommended that registration service officers be more thorough in entering patient data, especially in writing names, and improving services in the registration.
