Correlation between Availability of Information, Role of Health Workers and Distance to Health Facilities on Utilization of Hepatitis B Screening by Pregnant Women

Introduction: Hepatitis B is known as a disease that is transmitted through blood or other body fluids. The general objective of this study was to determine the relationship between the availability of information, the role of health workers, and the distance to health facilities on the Hepatitis B Examination by Pregnant Women at the Pagelaran Inpatient Health Center UPTD in 2022.
Methods: This study used a quantitative method with a cross-sectional study design. A sample of 76 respondents used the probability sampling technique. The research instrument used a questionnaire. Data analysis using univariate and bivariate.
Results: The results showed that 20 mothers (26%) received information, the number of health workers who had a good attitude was 51 (67%); the distance to health facilities was 18 mothers who were far away (24%); and 40 mothers did not use Hepatitis B examination (53%). There was a significant relationship between the availability of information and the results of statistical analysis using the Chi-Square test obtained p-value = 0.003 (p-value <0,05), the role of health workers p = 0.000 (p-value <0,05); and the distance to the facility health p = 0.000 (p-value <0,05) on the utilization of Hepatitis B examination at the Pagelaran Inpatient Health Center UPTD in 2023.
Discussion: Utilization of Hepatitis B Examination by pregnant women is influenced by the Availability of Information, the Role of Health Workers, and the Distance to Health Facilities. Suggestions for health workers to maintain and increase their role in motivating pregnant women in good and proper Hepatitis B examinations as an effort to prevent disease.
