The Relationship between the Role of Health Workers, Knowledge, and Husband's Support for the Participation of 3-Month Injection Family Planning Acceptors

Introduction: Birth control injection is a method of contraception to delay pregnancy. However, like other methods of contraception family planning injections have some advantages and disadvantages and are not recommended for women who have certain health conditions. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the role of health workers, knowledge, and husbands’ support for the participation in 3-month injection acceptors in Situhiang Village, Pagelaran District, Cianjur Regency in 2023.
Methods: This study uses quantitative research methods namely results research is displayed in the form of a frequency distribution or numbers. The research design used in this study is cross-sectional. A cross-sectional design, namely research or study of the relationship between two variables in a situation or group of subjects.
Results: The results showed that the highest frequency distribution was in the Health Workforce Role variable with 56 (61%) being considered good while 35 (39%); were considered not good. Variable Knowledge with the number of mothers who have good knowledge is 40 (44%); the number of mothers who have sufficient knowledge is 23 (25%); while mothers who have low knowledge are 28 (31%). Variable husband supports as many as 50 mothers received their husband's support (55%), while 41 mothers did not receive their husband's support (45%). The family planning acceptor variable consisted of 49 mothers who did acceptors (54%); while 42 mothers did not accept acceptors (46%).
Discussion: This study shows that there is a significant relationship between the role of health workers, knowledge, and husband's support for the participation in 3-month injection family planning acceptors in Situhiang Village, Pagelaran District, Cianjur Regency in 2023.
