Author's Guide

Preparation for article submission

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check the compliance of their article submissions with all of the following conditions and submitted articles may be returned to the author if they do not comply with ISJMHS requirements.

  • The submitted article is an article that has not been previously published in any journal or the article is under consideration in another journal.
  • Files sent using OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file formats.
  • If necessary, the use of URLs can be justified.
  • Article writing uses two spacing, 12pt and complies with style and bibliographic requirements in accordance with general article writing guidelines.

 General Guide

Articles submitted must only be intended for ISJMHS and have never been published, and are not under consideration by other journals. If there is more than one author, the main author/correspondent must ensure that all members of the authors agree to the content of the submitted or corrected article. Every study that uses human subjects must obtain an informed concern from the subject under study and obtain an ethical clearance letter from a registered ethics commission institution. If the research is funded by an institution, it is necessary to convey that this research does not have a conflict of interest which needs to be stated in a special note at the end of the article sent.

Review Process

Each article will be reviewed by the editor, and if the requirements are sufficient, the article will be sent to two reviewers who are appointed according to the field of science. Ratings given by reviewers can be accepted without corrections, accepted with minor corrections, accepted with many corrections or rejected. Authors will be given the opportunity to improve the quality of their articles based on suggestions given by reviewers. The reviewer's results will be informed to the main author/correspondent.

Instructions for making articles

Articles with the type of writing results in the form of research with various research designs such as:

  1. The quantitative approach consists of; (descriptive studies in the form of case reports, case studies, surveys, cross sectional; observational studies in the form of cohorts, ex post facto, case controls; literature studies in the form of literature reviews, systematic literature reviews and meta-analyses; pseudo experimental studies, true experimental = experimental)
  2. Qualitative approaches include; ethnographic studies
  3. Another approach which is a combination of approaches

Can be written in the following format

  1. Page title: consists of: The title of the article in two languages, consisting of the Indonesian title and its translation in English written in curly braces and italics; then write the full name without academic and professional degrees with a comma between the authors' names (if there are more than one author). Numbers in superscript form are written to indicate the author's institutional affiliation credential status and the email address of each author.
  2. Abstract consists of a maximum of 300 words, written in IMRaD format. The abstract consists of; Introduction contains the background and objectives of the research. Methods contains research design and analysis, then the results are significant results and discussion contains important things related to research and ends with conclusions and suggestions if necessary. Abstract ends with key words consisting of a maximum of 5 keywords separated by commas (,) between one word and another, with the intention that these keywords can help index this article.
  3. The written abstract should be able to describe all the ideas, results and conclusions of the research for the readers without having to read the whole article.

Furthermore, the article is written in a format that contains the following text:

  1. Introduction: contains the background and reasons for this research as well as the purpose of this research. In the background can be conveyed about matters relating to epistemology, axiology, ontology.
  2. Methods (materials and methods): contains matters relating to the research design, population, sample, place and time of research up to the ways in which the analysis is carried out. For other designs, it is adapted to the delivery of methods that can describe the ways in which this research is carried out so that readers can replicate the research carried out in the writing of this article.
  3. Results: presented matters relating to the results of research related to the research objectives in the form of delivery options in the form of textual, tabular, graphic or image. Except for textual submission, a combination of tabular graphics and images is submitted for a maximum of five objects. It is recommended that tabular, graphic and image usage do not need to be repeated with textual delivery as long as the delivery is clear.
  4. Discussion: in the form of the author's analysis of the findings presented
