Abstract

Introduction: The postpartum period is the recovery period after childbirth until all the woman's reproductive organs recover before the next pregnancy. The post-partum period lasts around 6-8 weeks after delivery. Perineal wounds are defined as tears in the birth canal or due to an episiotomy during delivery of the fetus. Delays in the healing time of perineal wounds can become a health problem, including infection in the suture wound and can spread to the bladder canal or birth canal, which can result in complications from bladder infections or infections in the birth canal. Apart from that bleeding can also occur due to open blood vessels that do not close completely. Late treatment of complications can cause death.

Methods: This research uses quantitative methods with a cross sectional study design. The population was 20 people and used total sampling with the inclusion criteria being post-partum mothers who had grade 2 perineal wounds in the working area of the Sindangbarang Health Center and the exclusion criteria were post-partum mothers who had grade 3 and 4 perineal wounds and infected perineal wounds.

Results: The results of statistical tests obtained p-values for nutritional patterns (0,000); anemia (0,000) and family support (0,000); which means that H0 is rejected and it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between nutritional patterns, anemia and family support for healing perineal wounds. among postpartum mothers in the Sindangbarang inpatient Health Center working area, Cianjur district in 2023.
