Abstract

Introduction: Anemia is a condition where the number of erythrocytes or hemoglobin concentration is insufficient to meet physiological needs. If the hemoglobin level in the blood is less than 12 g/dl, young women are said to suffer from anemia. Young women are at high risk of anemia because they experience menstruation which causes young women to lose a lot of blood so they need iron three times more than men.

Methods: A case study approach to the research sample consisted of 2 young women with low Hb levels, 1 young woman was given chicken liver and 1 young woman was given chicken eggs.

Results : The first examination of respondent 1 Hb 10,6 g/dl and respondent 2,11 g/dl. After 7 days of consuming chicken eggs in respondent 1, Hb 12,1 g/dl was obtained and after 7 days of consuming chicken liver in respondent 2 Hb 12,3 g/dl was obtained.

Discussion :  the effectiveness of providing chicken eggs and chicken liver to increase the hemoglobin levels of adolescents at PMB J in 2024. the Hb level in anemic adolescents who consume chicken liver increases faster compared to anemic adolescents who consume chicken eggs.
