Abstract

Introduction: PT Tirta Investama (DC Kawasan) is a large company known for its first bottled drinking water (AMDK) product in Indonesia, namely Aqua. So this company must have good quality to provide the best service to customers and employees. The purpose of this study is to determine organizational communication strategies in increasing work motivation at PT Tirta Investama (DC Kawasan) and what factors make employees at PT Tirta Investama (DC Kawasan) able to work for a long duration. The theory used is the relationship between humans from Elton Mayo.

Methods: This study uses a qualitative descriptive analysis technique. The data collection techniques in the form of observation, documentation and interviews. There are three informants in this study.

Results: The results of the study show that organizational communication at PT Tirta Investama (DC Kawasan) is to increase work motivation by communicating what the company's targets are and informing back what achieved or achieved targets, as well as using many media to communicate. It is also supported by the fulfillment of supporting facilities such as clinics, BPJS, health insurance, annual bonuses and sports facilities that fulfill employee rights.

Discussion: PT Tirta Investama (DC Kawasan) uses a top-down organizational communication approach, which is communication from top management to subordinates, with a hierarchical or gradual communication system. In improving work motivation, the management of PT Tirta Investama (DC Kawasan) applies the company's vision and mission, sets achievable targets, and provides supporting facilities for employees.
