Introduction: The spread of the COVID-19 virus is increasingly being understood. The main characteristic of COVID-19 is respiratory disease. The increasing number of cases of Coronavirus Disease 2019 in Indonesia has made the government move quickly in its efforts to overcome it. In addition to prevention, the provision of therapy to those who have tested positive for COVID-19 also needs to be optimized as possible with the aim of reducing the Case Fatality Rate number. This study aims to determine the relationship between patient knowledge, the role of health workers and family support on medication adherence for COVID-19 patients at the Wisma Atlet Hospital Kemayoran, Central Jakarta in 2021.
Methods: This study used an analytical survey method with a cross sectional survey design, secondary data collection and primary by distributing questionnaires. The sampling technique was accidental sampling with a total sample of 327 people.
Results: The results in this study are that there was a relationship between knowledge and medication adherence for COVID-19 patients at the Kemayoran Jakarta Wisma Atlet Hospital with a p-value of 0,000 < (0,05 with an OR value of 5,207, there is a relationship between the role of health workers on medication adherence for COVID-19 patients at the RSDC Wisma Athletes of Kemayoran Jakarta with a p-value of 0,023 < (0,05) with an OR value of 1,696 and there is a relationship between family support and medication adherence for COVID-19 patients at the Wisma Atlet Kemayoran Jakarta Hospital with a p-value of 0,000 < (0,05) with an OR value = 3,833.
Discussion: Based on the research, it was found that the most influential variable was family support. It is hoped that every health worker at the RSDC Wisma Atlet Kemayoran will take part in providing education, motivation, and counseling to families regarding COVID-19 and ask families to continue to accompany and motivate patients to continue to comply with COVID-19 treatment and can improve health promotion in the hospital. In this building is providing education and counseling to patients about COVID-19 and the importance of treatment.
