The Relationship between Motivation, Belief, and Attitude towards Client Behavior Performing Acupuncture in Myalgia Cases at Home Healthy "X"

Abstract

Introduction: Myalgia disease is quite safe and does not threaten the life activities of sufferers, but if it occurs too often it can cause frustration for myalgia sufferers because it can hinder them in terms of working or other daily activities which can ultimately reduce the quality of life of sufferers. One of the complementary therapies in an effort to optimize health services is acupuncture therapy. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between motivation, beliefs, and attitudes towards the behavior of Myalgia case clients who perform acupuncture at Griya Sehat "X".

Methods: This research is a type of quantitative analytic. The research design used was a cross-sectional or cross-sectional study. The population in this study were clients of Myalgia cases who performed acupuncture at Griya Sehat "X" from January to February 2023 with a total of 107 people. The sampling technique for respondents used a simple random sampling technique. So, the sample in this study was 85 respondents. The research instrument used a questionnaire sheet. Researchers used the chi-square test.

Results: The results of the statistical test of the relationship show that there is a relationship between motivation (p-value = 0,001); belief (p-value = 0,005); and attitude (p-value = 0,024) towards the behavior of clients in Myalgia cases who do acupuncture at Griya Sehat “X” in conclusion there is a relationship between motivation, beliefs and attitudes towards the behavior of myalgia case clients who perform acupuncture at Griya Sehat "X".

Discussion: Based on the results of this study it can be concluded as follows. There is a motivational relationship to the behavior of clients in Myalgia cases who do acupuncture. There is a relationship of trust in the behavior of clients in Myalgia cases who do acupuncture. There is a relationship between attitude towards the behavior of clients in Myalgia cases who do acupuncture.
