Abstract

Introduction: Prevention and Control are actions taken to stop and reduce the spread of infection to employees, patients, visitors, and the environment in health facility areas. Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome. Someone who is sick can spread coronavirus 2 (SARSCoV-2) to nearby people through droplets (such as coughing or sneezing), objects or surfaces contaminated with droplets of an infected person and touching the mucosa (mouth and nose).

Methods: The research design used was a cross-sectional or cross-sectional study. The cross-sectional study design was chosen because it allows the simultaneous provision of analytical information or description, or, in other words, because it allows the approach, observation or collection of data necessary to study the dynamics of correlations between risks.

Results: Based on statistical tests obtained using Chi square, it shows that there was a relationship between the use of PPE (0.042), management policy (0.046) with the prevention and control of Covid-19 and there is no relationship between length of work (0.063) and control and prevention of Covid-19.

Discussion: Based on the research results, it is known that there is a relationship between the use of Worker PPE and the prevention and control of Covid-19. including officers who use PPE less towards the prevention and control of Covid-19 can be caused by non-compliance by officers in using PPE and feel unfamiliar with the use of PPE, PPE is damaged and also lack of supervision from the Hospital. Based on the research results, it is known that there is a relationship between management policies and the prevention and control of Covid-19, All employees must know the policy in order to know and understand the steps that must be taken in order to implement effective prevention and control of Covid-19, Policies have been established through guidelines or procedures for preventing and controlling Covid-19 by directing workers to operate in achieving good goals. Based on the research results, it is known that there is no relationship between length of work and the prevention and control of Covid-19.
