Abstract

Introduction: Medical records are one of the first steps in the healthcare process. According to PERMENKES No. 24 of 2022 concerning medical records, the advancement of digital technology in society leads to the transformation of digitalisation of health services, requiring medical records to be held electronically while adhering to the principles of data and information security.

Methods: This research applied a quantitative method, using descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression. The study involved 80 respondents from Purwakarta and Jombang sub-district health centers who utilize electronic medical records (EMR).

Results: The findings showed that perceived ease of use and social influence simultaneously influenced perceived usefulness, although only ease of use had a significant effect. Social influence had a significant impact on perceived ease of use. Furthermore, ease of use and usefulness influenced users’ attitudes, while attitude significantly influenced behavioral intention. Behavioral intention significantly affected EMR acceptance. The R-squared values for the respective regression models ranged from 30.4% to 50.2%.

Discussion: Identifying and evaluating EMR implementation acceptance is essential for optimizing service quality in primary healthcare settings. Despite various infrastructure and human resource limitations, the study highlights the critical roles of user readiness, managerial support, and information technology in achieving successful EMR adoption.
